On March 7, 2023, the Department of Accounting and Consulting of the Faculty of Accounting and Tax Management at Vadym Hetman KNEU welcomed Victoria Volotovska, the Regional Development Manager of ACCA for Ukraine, Poland, and the Baltic States. ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is an international professional accounting organization that provides qualifications for professionals in accounting, finance, auditing, and management. During the meeting, Ms. Volotovska and Head of Department Renata Korshikova discussed the specifics of obtaining higher education under martial law conditions in Ukraine and explored directions for further cooperation between ACCA and the department.

Following this, an engaging and informative online discussion was held with 4th-year bachelor’s students (groups OO-401, OO-402, OO-403) and first-year master’s students (groups OOA-501, OOA-502) from the “Accounting and Auditing” educational program. In this session, Ms. Volotovska outlined ACCA’s main areas of work and tasks, discussed certification requirements, explained the structure and administration of the exams, and provided details about the various types of diplomas available upon achieving full ACCA membership, as well as the opportunities the “Accounting and Auditing” program offers regarding certification exam credits.
