30.05.2024 - AICPA/CIMA-Global Academic Dialogue "Management Accountants business decision-making involvement and behavior"30 May 2024р.On May 30, 2024, the lecturers of the Department of Accounting and Consulting, together with students of the “Accounting and Audit” program at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, attended a webinar as part of the Global Academic Dialogue by AICPA/CIMA on the topic “Participation and Behavior of Management Accountants in Business Decision-Making.” In this Global Academic Dialogue, Associate Professor Zack Enslin (University of Pretoria, South Africa) examined aspects of the cognitive behavior of management accountants in the decision-making process and discussed what this might mean for their participation in business decision-making. Specifically, he addressed the involvement of management accountants in business decision-making; the cognitive biases inherent in human decision-making; and the prevalence of these cognitive biases among management accountants. |
